On September 14, 2018, District Governor Jerry Chapman visited our club as part of his journey to the clubs of District 5870 #1DistrictStrong. He delivered an inspiring message, one aimed at reminding us as to why we belong to this global organization dedicated to Service Above Self. He was particularly outspoken about his special connection to our Polio Plus campaign and the value of our contributions to the Paul Harris Foundation.
Member engagement (sometimes extending to non-members) was a key element of his delivery. It is important that we all take the responsibility of ensuring that our new members become immediately immersed in club activities. He became fully engaged when he inducted the newest member of our club, Janelle McNeill.
Finally, he asked us to "save the date" for the special visit of our International President Barry Rassin, on February 2, 2019...His "Be the Inspiration" theme for our Rotary year should remind us all of our commitment to the Rotary organization. #georgetownrotary
