The Georgetown Rotary Club once again has honored scholarship students from East View High School, Georgetown High School and Richarte High School.

Presented annually, the Club offers $20,000 to graduating seniors in scholarship monies. The $1,000 increments are awarded to the Georgetown Independent School District graduating seniors of East View High School, Georgetown High School and Richarte High School, based on application review and selection by a Rotary Committee.
A $2,000 per semester scholarship (qualifying for up to 4 semesters) is also awarded to a ‘First Generation’ college attendee. Beginning in 2012, this scholarship is awarded in the name of Don and Patti Hewlett as an "Honor & Appreciation" for Don’s many years of Hewlett Family Service and Contributions to the Georgetown Rotary Club!

Also presented annually, the Club offers $100 to individual teachers as selected by the graduating senior scholarship recipients in Honor of that teacher’s specific impact on the student’s education.

Finally, the Club annually offers $1,500 to a deserving teacher pursuing an Advanced Graduate Degree plan. The selection is based on Application and Resume review and selection by a Rotary Committee.

This program reflects the continuing commitment by the Georgetown Rotary Club to support youth education programs in our community.
