The Rotary Club of Georgetown has welcomed it’s 2022-2023 club president Cathleen “Cat” Phelps.

“Inspirational. Driven. Focused. These are words her friends and associates use to describe Cathleen “Cat” Phelps, the newly-installed President of the Rotary Club of Georgetown Texas for the 2022-2023 administrative term,” the Rotary Club of Georgetown wrote on Facebook. “With a passion for service instilled at an early age and in addition to her active Rotary involvement, Cat’s extensive roster of community engagement includes service to the Georgetown (TX) Chamber of Commerce, Seeds of Strength, Chase the Chief, Afterschool Alliance, and as a member of Grace Episcopal Church.”

Phelps holds a Master’s Degree in Organizational Development and is currently the Extension Directory at the Georgetown Texas Family YMCA. Prior to that, she worked in a variety of roles at the YMCA of Wichita Kansas.

“Under her leadership at the Georgetown YMCA, not only has the organization grown in community awareness and program participation but received recognition as Non-Profit of the Year in 2021 by the Georgetown (TX) Chamber of Commerce,” according to the Rotary Club of Georgetown.
