Dear Rotarians,
BIG NEWS! This is an exciting week! We’re returning to hybrid meetings. That means you can choose whether you would like to attend our Club meeting in person or virtually. So, once again, we have to “pivot” (or as Ron Garland might say “pirouette,” which I agree is the more impressive way to turn) and establish a new routine.
Most weeks will meet at the Chamber, but there are some Fridays in May when we will be back at the Palace so make sure that you are checking the calendar and the Weekly Rotary Update.
The other practice we need everyone to adopt is on the weeks when you plan to attend in person, RSVP to Karron Wilson to let her know you want a boxed lunch. We’ll send out a reminder, but please help us out by responding.
So, in short, this Friday we are meeting at the Georgetown Chamber, 1 Chamber Way. There is parking in the Chamber parking lot as well as across the street at the Rec Center. The Chamber does have some COVID Safety Practices, which we have agree to abide by.
If you are attending virtually, login as usual (link below). It may take a few adjustments as we begin hybrid meetings again, but we are committed to making this experience good for members whether you attend in person or virtually.
I have several asks this week:
- If you have not completed our Member Satisfaction Survey, please do so by 5pm Friday. We’ve had about 45 responses. I would love to see double that. The survey is taking approximately four minutes to complete. Please help us plan for the future. Take the survey now!
- If you plan to attend Friday’s meeting in person, please let Karron Wilson know by noon Thursday, April 8.
- If you are an incoming officer or a Rotarian who wants to ensure that our upcoming Rotary year is a success, please sign up for Saturday’s District Assembly. Check out The Trumpet for details.
- Our President-Elect Nathan Winstead is going to lead our meeting on Friday. I will come in a little late as we are recording a memorial service for those who have died at The Wesleyan in the past year. I know you will cheer on Nathan as he will be leading all of our meetings very soon!
